Memorial Plaques
Memorial Plaques
Jewish tradition offers numerous meaningful practices to honor the memory of loved ones, including lighting yahrzeit candles, reciting Kaddish, and making charitable donations. At Knesset Israel, it is customary to place a plaque bearing the name of the deceased on the memorial board in the sanctuary.
Plaques ensure a person's name is recalled in perpetuity within the synagogue community.
Buying a plaque supports the shul's activities and maintenance.
Each plaque will have the person’s name in English, Hebrew, and both the Hebrew and English date of death. Beside each plaque is a memorial light.
Each plaque is $750.00 and can be ordered by contacting the shul.
